2000-2001 President
In addition to a BA and MA from the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill, Washington,
NC artist Pat Holscher, has studied art at Meredith College in
Raleigh, NC and East Carolina
University in Greenville, NC, and trained under many nationally
recognized artists. She has
been a member of several art organizations including the
Watercolor Society of North Carolina
in which she served as President (2001-2002). Pat has taught
beginning and continuing
watercolor classes and served as juror for several art
competitions. She holds signature status
in several watercolor societies: Watercolor Society of North
Carolina, Southern Watercolor
Society, Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Society, National
Watercolor Society, and the
American Watercolor Society, where she won the Gold Medal of
Honor in its 2009 annual
international show. In the past three years she has been juried
into two shows in China’s
Shenzhen Biennial, giving her recognition abroad. Most recently
Pat was chosen to represent
North Carolina in the National Watercolor Society’s 50 Stars E
xhibition 2020: Stars of the
United States Watercolor Societies.
Pat’s work has been featured and published in leading art
magazines including: “The Artists
Magazine” as a finalist in two of their annual art competitions,
“International Artist Magazine” in
its “Master Painters of the World - US Showcase”,
“ Watercolor Artist”, “America Art
Collectors” and North Light Books 2017 edition of “Splash 19:
Illusion of Light”. Pat also
appeared on UNC Public Television showcasing North Carolina
people of interest. Her work is
displayed in private, municipal, and corporate collections
as well as several galleries.
