Each year since 2007, the WSNC and Cheap Joe’s have partnered to give awards to the schools in the county where the WSNC holds its annual exhibition. In 2013 the WSNC Board of Directors decided to honor Joe for his many years of support by renaming the “Keep the Arts Alive” award to “Cheap Joe’s Art in Education Award”. The change became effective in 2014. Many thanks to Joe Miller and Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff for their continued support that paves the way for a bright future for young artists in public schools. Without their support, there would be no award for public school art departments.
